Pope Francis’ Health Update: Slight Improvement, But Prognosis Still Guarded
Pope Francis has shown further slight improvement after spending his 13th night at Gemelli Hospital, according to the Vatican press office. A chest CT scan confirmed the normal evolution of his double pneumonia, while blood tests showed continued progress. The mild renal insufficiency detected earlier has receded, and the Holy Father remains under high-flow oxygen therapy without experiencing any asthmatic respiratory crisis today.
Despite this progress, his prognosis remains reserved. The Holy Father participated in the Eucharist in the morning and resumed work activities in the afternoon. Meanwhile, pilgrims and tourists from around the world continue to pray for Pope Francis in Rome.
