New Cardinal Protodeacon
French Cardinal Dominique Mamberti has been appointed Protodeacon of the Vatican. In this role, he will announce the new pope after a conclave, beginning with the famous Latin words, "Habemus Papam." Since 2014, Mamberti has served as prefect of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signature.
World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation

Employees must provide baptism and confirmation certificates, live according to Catholic principles, and have no criminal record.
Vatican Plans to Go Solar
In his latest motu proprio, titled Fratello Sole (“Brother Sun”), Pope Francis announced measures to transition Vatican City to solar energy as its primary electricity source.
