Rome Celebrates Brotherhoods: Tradition, Faith, and Compassion

Rome was filled with color and tradition as the city celebrated the Jubilee of Hope with a spectacular procession featuring over a hundred confraternities from around the world. These historical communities, rooted back to the Middle Ages, have supported pilgrims journeying to St. Peter’s tomb for centuries.

Discover the history of the Gonfalone Archconfraternity, established in 1264, and learn about their modern initiative, "Scuola del Gonfalone," which assists immigrants with integration.

Explore also the Archconfraternity founded by Saint Philip Neri, which since the 16th century has anonymously provided pilgrims with practical assistance, continuing to attract members from all over the world.

Additionally, gain insight into the exclusive Campo Santo Teutonico Archconfraternity within the Vatican walls, where even Pope Benedict XVI was a member.

Join us on a journey through faith, tradition, and compassion!

Moder Angelica
